REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE STAGE BAND: PREFACE (2014)
Hailing from the slums of Ghana, and forced into exile in the middle of America for political reasons still unknown and undocumented. RSSB formed the group in the late '70s to protest their county's evil regime under Lt. Pazuzu, who also was believed to be an evil, possessive spirit.
Their sound blends occult rhythms, tribal percussion patterns and primitive sampling techniques through tape-splicing and field recording. A chance meeting with cult recording artist/producer Topp Boom resulted in their first studio album, "Preface", and was released to little fanfare at the time. Now, for the first time, Symbol Heavy Recordings is proud to present a re-mastered digital version straight from the attic of Topp Boom's recording archives. Featuring some of the most powerful spoken word of the era - which is hauntingly still relevant today.
